Brent + Katy (Hood River Wedding Photographer, Columbia Gorge Wedding Photographer)
Brent and Katy are definitely my people...fun...relaxed...they love Hood River...and they love Hood River beer...that is pretty much perfection in my book. We met at University of Portland to start their engagement shoot - where Brent went to school and also where he proposed to Katy after setting up an elaborate network of friends who helped Brent pull off an engagement proposal like no other (I could go into all of the details, but it would ruin it for the rest of the guys trying to live up to his awesomeness). We left U of P for Cathedral Park so we could bring Mikey - Katy's 90-pound puppy - and have some fun in the sunshine and down by the river...during our walk they mentioned Brent's apartment and his fire escape - where they like to spend chill summer nights sipping Full Sail and enjoying the city...oh yes, definitely my people..we ended at sunset at the Willamete Yacht Club where Brent is a member and sailer..I don't thinke we could have had a better day! Enjoy!

Brad + Tina (Hood River Wedding Photographer, The Dalles Wedding Photographer)
Patience is always worth the price..
I had originally planned to go shoot with Brad and Tina on a Saturday - but in February - and in the Gorge - Mother Nature can be pretty tempermental. Sure enough, our Saturday came around and the Gorge was in a storm..sideways rain and brutal winds was not the ideal situation for engagement photos. Thanks to the wonderful technology of the internet, the following day's forecast looked awesome and so we put things on hold in hopes that the meterolgists had it right....not only did they have it right, but it was almost perfect. On Sunday morning, coffee in hand, we headed up the mountain and found an amazing spot - sunshine, fresh snow - and we even got fresh flakes to fall while we were shooting...just the perfect amount..and honestly, it couldn't have been any better. We played with the dogs...snowball fights followed..and many, many smiles. I can't wait for their winter wedding in Sun River...we are gonna have so much fun all over again..

Brad got his revenge after a sneak attack...

And the snowflakes began to fall...

Jon + Meghann (Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast wedding photographer, Columbia Gorge Wedding Photographer)
Family..it is most often a big part of every wedding, but Jon and Meghann were blessed with one of the ultimate family wedding experiences on their special day at Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast. Meghann's sisters were her bridesmaids, and between them they have nine daughters who were all flower girls along with two, strapping young men as escorts. It was amazing to be around the smiles, loves and laughs of this family. Although it was a pretty warm day on the mountain, and last summer's wildfire was burning in the distance, it didn't put a damper on the fun. I was able to meet Jon and Meghann earlier in the day, at special piece of private property on the shores of the Columbia River for their first look - it was breath-taking. From there, we roamed the orchards and cliffs of the Gorge, capturing their love amidst all of the surrounding beauty that makes the Hood River so special. As the setting sun washed across the fields of Mt. Hood B n B, we took another walk and enjoyed the last light of the day. Thank you for having me on your amazing day! The kiddos had me laughing all day and it was a beautiful reminder of why Family truly is the most important bond in life. Much love...

You can see the love in Jon's eyes...

Beautiful light and the good love on the way to the Columbia River...

Amazing view of the Columbia River Gorge..this is the only property located on the shores in Hood River..

Yes..Meghann climbed this hill in cowboy boots and her wedding dress..DEFINITELY worth it..some of my favorite cliff shots to date..

We couldn't pass up the perfect Hood River Apples ready to harvest..

To the golden fields...

Heading east to the big cliffs...

Beautiful florals from Lucy's Informal Flowers ...

And the cute kiddos..

She made it all the way down the aisle with the help of her sisters and cousins :)...

Married!!!

And they laughed..

Such beautiful grounds at Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast..truly one of the best venues in the Gorge..

These cupcakes were sooooo good...

Into the setting sun...
Scott + Mandi (Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast wedding photographer, Hood River Wedding Photographer)
This is part one of Scott and Mandi's wedding - we had so many awesome images that I decided to split the post into wedding photographs from Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast and then a second post featuring our shoots earlier in the day on the cliffs of the Columbia River Gorge.
Scott and Mandi had an incredible day..we dodged a few sprinkles in the morning...which didn't keep Mandi from roaming the fields and cliffs with Scott after their first look. We started in The Dalles...Mandi finished getting ready with her mom and grandmother before Scott got to see his beautiful bride..from there we hopped in my car and took off to explore and get some incredible cliff shots (part 2) before meeting everyone at Mt. Hood B n B for some fun wedding party pictures and family images. The rain held off for the rest of the day...Mandi's 'pink' wedding popped against the green backdrop of Mt. Hood and the bright colors matched the bright smiles as they exchanged vows. As the sun set, the party kicked into high gear and they danced before making their grand exit in a vintage Studebaker..doesn't get much better....Enjoy!

TJ + Jenn (Hood River Wedding Photographer, Columbia Gorge Wedding Photographer)
I remember being pretty stoked when TJ called me to talk over wedding photography - most importantly, it was HIS wedding - he had met the love of his life and I couldn't have been happier for my friend. TJ and I met while working in the kiteboarding industry. We worked for the same company for a few years and developed a solid friendship during that time. When I met Jenn it didn't take but a few minutes for me to see their connection ... it's hard for me to put into words ..but sometimes you are around people and it just feels right ...like they were meant to be together ........ their energy is good and you can definitely see the love between them. I've always known TJ to be a kind person and Jenn is a kindred soul in that aspect ..she is truly so very kind as well ..which I think says a lot about the foundation of their relationship. They both have a deep love for the Gorge and the outdoors so we made their session all about just that..the Gorge..lots of waterfalls and hiking paths. It couldn't have been better...Enjoy!

Multnomah Falls .. we even cleared the bridge :)

Deep in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge..rolling streams..rocks..waterfalls..perfection..

Such good times..one of those days you never forget..

The lighting set up perfect for some really rich black and white...

It's so amazing to watch the natural love come out between two people...
